Big on Politics - LIDL ON REALITY is a campaign designed to discuss current issues in the UK with a focus on the effects of Brexit and the increase of child poverty. Using LIDL’s aesthetic as a recognisable brand worldwide, three products have been redesigned to communicate these ideas. A Baked Bean tin references Markus Rashfords fight to give children better school lunches and the Domestos bottle discusses food imports and the UK’s plans to accept chlorinated chicken from the US. This work is designed to highlight these issues whilst playing with language and humour to connect with younger audiences.
